Accessibility

VanAgain is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA — the latest W3C Recommendation (October 2023). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We continually review and improve our site with each update. If you encounter any barrier, please let us know — your feedback helps us improve for everyone.

Accessibility features

Skip Navigation

A 'Skip to main content' link is provided at the top of every page, letting keyboard users bypass repeated navigation and jump straight to the page content (WCAG 2.4.1).

Keyboard Navigation

All interactive elements — navigation, buttons, forms, and links — are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone (WCAG 2.1.1).

Screen Reader Support

Pages use semantic HTML, landmark regions, and ARIA attributes so screen readers can convey structure and context accurately (WCAG 1.3.1).

Color Contrast

Text and interactive controls meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text) in both light and dark modes (WCAG 1.4.3).

Responsive Design

The site adapts to all screen sizes and supports browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality (WCAG 1.4.4).

Dark Mode

A full dark-mode theme is available and respects your operating-system preference automatically.

Focus Indicators

Visible focus rings with sufficient contrast are present on all focusable elements so keyboard users can track their position on the page (WCAG 2.4.7, 2.4.13).

Alternative Text

Product images and meaningful graphics include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technologies (WCAG 1.1.1).

Form Labels

All form fields have associated labels. Error messages are descriptive and linked to the relevant field (WCAG 1.3.1, 3.3.2).

Touch Targets

Interactive elements maintain a minimum touch-target size of 44×44 CSS pixels on mobile devices for comfortable interaction (WCAG 2.5.8).

Known limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, some areas of the site may not yet meet every guideline. We are aware of the following and are working to address them:

  • Some older product images may be missing detailed alt text descriptions.
  • Third-party embedded content (such as payment widgets) may have accessibility limitations outside our control.

Technical information

VanAgain.com is built with Next.js and uses semantic HTML5 elements, ARIA landmark roles, and React components that follow accessibility best practices. The site is tested with keyboard-only navigation and common screen readers including NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), and TalkBack (Android).

We support the latest versions of the following browsers and assistive technology combinations:

  • Chrome + NVDA (Windows)
  • Firefox + NVDA (Windows)
  • Safari + VoiceOver (macOS)
  • Safari + VoiceOver (iOS)
  • Chrome + TalkBack (Android)
