Aftermarket Rebuilt Alternator for Vanagon waterboxer 83-91

This is a rebuilt 90 amp alternator that will work with all waterboxer engine Vanagon, 83-91.  So 1.9l and 2.1l.  It has a two year warranty. The price is $99 plus a $30 core charge

These are Bosch units that have been rebuilt.  They are cheaper than the OEM Bosch remanufactured, as these are just rebuilt.  There is a difference between rebuilt and remanufactured.  Rebuilt is checking and replacing parts as needed.  Remanufacturing is replacing everything no matter what and bringing it back to original new condition (or even better in some cases).  So this is the rebuilt unit, the price is less than a remanufactured unit.  I haven't had any failures of these, but the lower price is due to it being rebuilt.  I hope this helps clear this up.
