Blue Coolant Temp II Sensor for Fuel Injection System 83-85 1.9l waterboxer, 86-92 Syncro

This is the screw in type of Blue two pin Temp II Sensor.  It requires a copper crush ring between it and the thermostat housing.  N01381208 Bosch part number for the sensor is 0280130026. 

This sensor will work on all Digijet Vanagon from 83.5-85 (1.9l waterboxer) and all Syncro Vanagon from 86-91 (2.1l digifant waterboxer).  If you are having problems with cold start or hot start this could be the culprit.  If you have a later model 2wd Vanagon you are going to need the other version of this that is secured with a clip.  025906041A 

Also some aftermarket aluminum thermostat housings also used this sensor so if you have a question you might want to take a look at what you have before ordering.  This one has a hex on it and screws into the housing.  The price is for one, the picture is just showing two views.
