Coolant hose shield for lower thermostat housing on 1.9l Waterboxer Vanagon

This shield is for the lower coolant hose that is near the exhaust on a 1.9l Vanagon.  This shield protects that hose from getting cooked by the exhaust which is around 800 degrees at the pipe.  There is an air gap, but this shield deflects most of the heat radiation prolonging the life of your hose.

PS Before you ask, no the later model Vanagons don't require this.  ONLY for the 83-85 1.9l Vanagon.
