Distributor Cap for 85-90 waterboxer Vanagon

This distributor cap works with Vanagons that were manufactured from 07/84 up to 1990 with the last six digits of the VIN up to 060 000. If your van was manufactured before 07/84 then you are going to need cap pn 03010. If it is a later model you are going to want the 03214.  That version has the black plastic cover on it. You should always replace your rotor when you are replacing your distributor cap.    The rotor for this is 04170.  The picture is showing two views of one distributor cap.
