Rod Bolt for all waterboxer Vanagon

This is a brand new rod bolt for all waterboxer engines (1.9l and 2.1l).  These rod bolts are actually the ones that don't stretch like on the 1.9l so please torque them to the 1.9l Vanagon specification (refer to Bentley Manual).  You will need two per rod.  I would recommend getting your 2.1l rods checked at a machine shop.  If the big end is out of round it will cause the rod to fail no matter what bolts you use.  The stock 2.1l stretch bolts are no longer available.  Long before that happened my friend Bob Donalds switched back to the 1.9l style non-stretch bolts in all of his famous engines.  That is why I can confidently sell them here.  You will need 8 of these per engine.  You should also replace the rod nuts when replacing these.
