Shifter Rebuild Kit for 80-91 Manual Vanagon This kit is for rebuilding your shifter in a manual Vanagon. Take a look at the picture.  It includes all of the hard and soft parts you would need to completely rebuild your front shifter.  It is an aftermarket kit made by JP Group.

There were two sizes of shift levers.  Some of the 80-85 Vanagons had 12mm diameter shift levers and from 86-92 They all had 14mm diamater levers.  So if you have an 80-85 Vanagon you will want to measure your lever diameter just to be sure which one you need.  Use an open end wrench to see which size lever you have.  If you have a 12mm lever, please let me know in the order notes as this kit is for the 14mm lever (most vans had that).  I can provide another kit for the 12mm lever, if you have that.
