This is the rectangular jounce buffer that was inside all of the shifter boxes on 80-83 Vanagon. This part is an aftermarket part that is 3d Printed. I could not find it any other way. One of the two metal ears on the bottom of the shift lever is supposed to hit up against it when you shift into Reverse and 1st (correct me if I am wrong).
