Powerflex Transmission Mount for nose of Manual Transmission Vanagon 80-85 Gasoline

The transmission mount for the manual transmission air cooled, Diesel, and 1.9l waterboxer are different than the later mount that was used for everything also the automatic mount.  So if you have an early manual transmission gasoline powered Vanagon, you need a specific transmission mount for your Vanagon.  The problem is that this mount has been discontinued from any source I can find.  Thankfully the folks at Powerflex make a replacement bushing that you can use.  You need to keep your old mount, press, pound or otherwise destroy the old mount out of it.  You will still have the steel mount and the round sleeve that the new bushing will need to install into.  Installing the new bushing is very easy and it comes with lubrication for it as well.  The bushing is stiffer than stock.  The final bonus is that this bushing is much cheaper than the original or reproduction ones that we could get before it because completely discontinued.  

If you have an 85 Vanagon, you should measure your old mount.  If your mount is around 2.5" then use this one.  If it is 3 inches, then use the later model one.

If you have a 86-91 Vanagon or early Automatic use 251399201K.

Does not work on a Syncro Vanagon!
