Air Flow Meter for 1977-79 Bus Federal Emissions (rebuilt)

This is an Air Flow Meter for 1977-1979 VW Bus with 2.0l engine and Federal Emissions (points ignition).  This is a rebuilt unit that comes with a warranty.  It is $295 plus $100 core charge.   The Bosch part number is 0280200020.  

You should find the sticker on the driver's side door jamb or also on the back of the engine cover lid.  It will say "This vehicle conforms to US EPA" if it is Federal emissions.  It is the California emissions version it would say "This vehicle conforms to US EPA and California".  The California version has electronic ignition (no points and capacitor).

If you have points and capacitor on your distributor then it is a Federal Emissions version of the Bus.  The California version is different and this will not work with that.  We have a different version available for that.
